Dear Parents, Families, and Community Members:

Since last spring, our district has been engaged in a strategic planning process that will develop a 3-5 year plan for our school district. A comprehensive committee of staff, administration, parents, community members, and Board of Education members has been meeting throughout the fall to develop a plan that will build on our strengths, assist us in targeting our efforts and energy, and most importantly allow us to define very specific learning outcomes for our students.   All the while, the plan will remain faithful to the mission of our district and unwavering in its commitment to prepare Waterford students for college and career readiness in tomorrow's world.

A key component of the process is to gather stakeholder feedback and in this case through the use of a survey.  The survey below will ask you specific questions about various aspects of our school district.  The information from this survey will be used to guide the committee in its work.  You certainly can skip any questions that you feel you do not have enough information or knowledge to answer.

With a student-centered focus, the entire Strategic Planning process is designed to create a system dedicated to ensuring that every Waterford student acquires the skills and attributes required for success in life, learning and work beyond school.  I am confident that our team will create a plan that focuses our energy on high leverage efforts that maximize student learning outcomes.

Sincerely, and on behalf of the entire Strategic Planning Team,
