- Every Year Halloween passes once again, and nobody has been brave
enough to go inside the haunted house located across the road of Brian
Mary. Brian was now 12 and he decided that he wanted to go inside the
house, but only with his best friend Angelica Nelson.
- Angelica watched outside her window staring at the haunted house
towering above all the other houses. She always looked outside at the
haunted house right before she went to bed; it was something Angelica
did for as long as she could remember. Today was the day that Angelica
decided that she would conquer her fears by going in the haunted house.

- Brian calls Angelica from his living room. The other line rings and
rings until Angelica picked up the phone herself. Brian builds up the
courage to ask Angelica so he does. This is how Angelica replied, “I was
going to ask you the same…
- thing but I can’t come today sorry. Maybe some other day.” Brian hung up
just watching how his dreams shattered. But Brian promised himself that
he would go into the house one day even if it was the last thing he
does.

- Brian walks down the sandy pathway seeing that Angelica and Brian both
lived close to the beach. Brian walks up the three narrow steps and
rings Angelica’s doorbell.

- After a few minutes, Brian decides to leave not making anymore effort
than he really has to. Well… maybe next year he’ll try again. So,
Brian’s shyness got the better of him and hopefully Brian’s dream will
succeed next year.

- The two discuss and figure out that they both wanted to go into the
house. They talk and decide to go to the haunted house together at 3.00
p.m. today itself! The kids look around this part of the neighborhood
that they have never encountered. The wind whistles and hoots all
joining in on the scary scenery.

- Brian and Angelica walked up the stone steps up to the front door.
Brian reached for the door but found that it was locked.

- The kids walk up the stony steps and Brian nervously reaches out to
ring the doorbell. The sound of moaning comes from the inside now the
kids were scared!

- After a little while, the kids decide not to stay any longer so they
decide to leave. They talked on their way back, and decided to try some
other time. Their light of their hope stays strong, but right now, it is
flickering.

- The kids stare at the tall man towering above the doorway. They take
one glance at each other and start to back up. The man follows them and
asks them in a deep voice if they would like to come inside.

- The kids wait and wait and after a while they think that nobody will
ever answer. Not wanting
themselves to leave, the kids decide to go into the back door.

- The kids for some obvious reason become too scared of the haunted
house and decide to leave before anything bad happened to them.

- The kids stare at the tall man hogging the door entrance. The strange
man invites the children inside. With a nervous voice, Brad answers to
the man, “Maybe not today.”

- The kids are invited in and the friends decide to jump at this
opportunity. The kids step inside and gaze at the ornaments decorating
the walls.

- The back door is open so the kids decide to go inside. At one glance at the decorations the
kids glance at each other and overcome a sense of nervousness. They nod to each other and decide to
keep on looking. Brian and
Angelica walk around discussing what they should do when they come
across a staircase.

- Should the friends travel downstairs to the basement

- The friends find that the front door is locked so they decide to
travel to the back door. To their luck, the back door was open and the
kids decide to explore.

- Kids are heading downstairs. They
get to a landing and have to decide if they will enter a shaft or head
further down the stairs.

- When the kids are in the basement they find a shaft. They step inside
the shaft and the door closes behind them. They realize it is a trap door!

- The kids find a door but decide to head on further downwards unless
there was trouble in that room.

- A woman walks up to the kids and starts to talk to them. After a
while of talking the woman turns
out to be the man’s house and that the man is actually a good man but is
just a little shy. Good Job! You figured out who the man was!

- The kids lean against a small bookcase suddenly the wall turned
around. The room was filled with old desks and tables. The kids figure
out that the man was a teacher and helped the kids in this room.

- The kids search and find the attic. It is filled with many school
desks and a large teachers desks. The kids realize that the man was a
teacher to helped the under privileged.

- The man asks a little about each of the kids. After a few moments of
talking, the kids conclude that the man is…
- Mean and they want to leave

- The kids decide that the man is mean and make up a fib to leave the
house.

- After a while of conversation, the kids realize that the man is a very
nice man and they had misunderstood him. The kids decide to meet every
day. After a while, the kids became very good friends with the man and
never again has anybody ever second-guessed the haunted house.
