Every March, in honor of Youth Art Month, the Waterford students display artwork at the Waterford Public Library and Central Offices and their respective schools. Youth Art Month is an annual observance to emphasize the value of art education for all children and to encourage support for quality school art programs.
Art class is not only about making art but about seeing the world from a different perspective. Art class helps students strengthen the parts of their brain that aid in creative thinking and problem-solving. This is an important area to maintain as it lends to breakthroughs in medicine, science, and other fields of study that affect our daily lives.
Please stop at the Waterford Public Library and Central Offices to view some of the original pieces created by our students. Since space at these locations is limited, and we have many talented artists to showcase, we have created a virtual art show to share with families and friends around the globe.
