All employment opportunities are posted online, applications are submitted online and all applications are reviewed online. While vacancies may appear at any time throughout the year, the peak of the hiring season begins in spring and continues until all positions are filled. Job postings are updated daily. All certified positions require Connecticut certification or eligibility for certification. See Certification Information for more details.
The Application Process:
Individuals seeking employment must submit a completed online application through the Paycom Talent Acquisition website by the advertised closing date. Once all requested materials are received online, you are considered a candidate for employment for the designated vacancy.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
State law requires that all new employees be fingerprinted before employment begins . The fee associated with fingerprinting covers the processing required by the State of Connecticut. Pursuant to board policy, all full time certified employees will be required to have a physical examination. The District also requires employees to submit to a DCF Registry check.
Substitute Teachers and Substitute Paraprofessionals:
All employment opportunities for substitute teachers and substitute paraprofessionals are posted on our Paycom Talent Acquisition website and interested applicants must apply online. Waterford Public Schools uses AESOP (Automated Educational Substitute Operator) to notify substitutes of services needed in the District. This service utilizes both the phone and Internet to assist the substitute in locating jobs in the District.
